    Re: Yankees-Red Sox ALCS Thread

I would have never thought I would see the day where a team came back from 0-3. Unreal. The greatest baseball team ever just completed the biggest choke ever. So is this the year a 16 beats a 1 in the NCAA tourney? On the flip side, this may help the Cubs because if the Yankees first free agent option is Beltran they are stupid. They need pitching so bad it hurts.

I still think the biggest choke ever in sports history is still the Buffalo Bills 4 yeard in a row.

Congrats to The Red SOx and you their fans. Great series, very entertaining. WHat a show of heart, and the DRAMA. I wasn't looking forward to the post season at all (broken hearted Cub fan) but this team gave me a reason to watch.

Now go win the whole damn thing. Rocket's coming home, send him packing! THere is still unfinished business. If you don't win the whole thing this 'curse' will still live on, especially if CLemens beats you in a game 7.

I'll be cheering for you the whole way. And then hopefully maybe next year the Cubs can get rid of their 'curse'. But somehow I doubt it.

Wonderful... I listened to ESPN 1050 most of the night just so I could hear all the Yankee apologists crying... One nutjob host actually said Terry Francona brought in Pedro so he could "stick it" to Yankee fans... Dude, get a grip.... Get over yourself.

What's gonna be fun for me is the impending implosion from George Steinbrenner. Mel Stottlemyre is probably gone, he shoulda left last year like Zimmer anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if Torre is fired and Willie Randolph hired as manager.

Why else would he bring him in? It was 10-1 and Lowe was rolling. There was no reason to bring him in.

No way. That's called not living up to promise or not taking advantage of opportunities. Buffalo also usually lost to teams they had no business beating anyway. The Yankees, with a payroll approaching $200 million and a team of all-stars just lost a series when they were up 3-0 and leading in the 9th inning of game 4. You can't choke any bigger than that.

The only SB that BUffalo was supposed to win was the first one. Norwood missed the kick, and that was that. But if they were so great they wouldn't have even been in that situation.

They just couldn't stop ol' Otis Anderson. The other three they weren't even favored.
