It's not whether the rule is good or not. It's the fact that every single time there's more rules and regulations introduced to a sport, there's an increase in confusion and controversy. Think about this opening week and how many instances of this garbage there have been already. All these games decided and impacted by umpires like this.

Do we want baseball to turn into basketball and football? That's priority #1 for me---ensuring that baseball doesn't turn into those garbage sports where every single game is marred with some nonsensical crap where nobody knows what a catch is, nobody knows what a charge or block is, etc.

Not to mention how hesitant players will be and are because they're forced to think about this crap instead of just GOING, which will inevitably lead to even more injuries, which is the entire supposed purpose of all this anyway.

It's confusing for about a month, then everyone gets used to it. You're blowing this way out of proportion. There haven't been more injuries at the plate because of the new rule has there?

It's not like these guys have never played with this type of rule. It's stricter than this all through amateur baseball.

I sure hope no, just picked up Jeanmar Gomez and need him to pick up a save tonight so I can ship him out as soon as possible. He can blow after that though.

Gomez is the best guy in the bullpen actually. Was very good last year. 3.01 ERA.
