Kevin Pillars comments on Collabellos suspension were pathetic.

Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar came to Colabello's defense, saying, "He's not a cheater. He got caught up in a flawed system," per Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun.

"A flawed system"? He needs to explain how the system is flawed. Most likely I just expect him to backtrack.

Yeah his statement was pretty weak though to be fair to him it was pretty much off the cuff as he (and others) were confronted immediately after the news became public.

No repeat for Lester as Votto excuse-me-swings into a grounder down the 3rd base line in the first inning.

Sigh... What the hell is wrong with some of these guys. I'm getting to the point, where I'm OK with them being blackballed from baseball forever.

With everything that has happened, these guys are still trying to sneak this is by, it's unbelievable.

Rizzo continues to rake. Another no-doubter.

And then some small ball later where they squeeze bunted twice in a row. Ross and Lester both get bunts down to score runs, plus Ross's led to a bad throw which set up 2nd and 3rd with 1 out.

              4-0 Cubs.

Cubs miss turning a triple play by a step and a half. 5-4-3 style.

The Cubs VERY nearly turned an around the horn triple play.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Mookie Betts just needs a HR for the cycle in Houston.

                          This team is sooooooooo bad.

Did they catch him? Or just replace it?

Javy Baez with his first HR of the season.

Dexter continues to scorch baseballs all over the field. And Heyward brings him in with another double. 3 run 9th to blow it open. Bryant follows with his own double. This offense is just relentless. I think Hoover is going to be sick the next time the Cubs are on the schedule.

Man, the Reds have taken some major-league poundings this year already. Along with tonight and last night they also got blasted by the Cards 14-3.
