Re: 5/2 - 5/15 Game Discussion Thread
I wanna see that again. I think that slider crossed everyone up.
It looked like it clipped the plate, and the way McCann caught it, it looked like a ball.
The ump definitely missed the pitch before that, which was a strike, but that's a tough loss no doubt.

And of course I would come off bias, but I remember watching it live, and was OK, there's ball 4, and I was shocked it was called a strike.
Then on replay, it looked like a typical wicked pitch from Miller, and it just baffled everyone. Agree about the umpire, no need to put on a self-righteous show.

Care to explain the 3-2 strike call? Other than revenge for arguing the previous 3-1 strike call.Comment

The Astros are going to option Evan Gattis to AA Corpus Christi to catch for 10 days. The Astros are trying to make him the backup catcher to give a little more flexibility and a better batting option than keeping Erik Kratz around. I'm all for it, if Gattis can handle it.Comment

Re: 5/2 - 5/15 Game Discussion Thread
Is was, but as I said earlier, Sox deserved to lose after leaving the number of runners on base that they did.
Let's hope some of this passion carries over into the next two games over the weekend. It seems to really fire up the fans at Yankee Stadium.Comment

Hmmm Kang seems healthy. 2 homeruns in your debut. Legendary.

Re: 5/2 - 5/15 Game Discussion Thread
In other rivalry news, Ortiz is now the 6th player to hit 50 homers against the Yankees. 4 of the other 5 are also Red Sox (or played for the Sox).
Also, the ump in this video looks a little like Kulpa but it was Tim Timmons.
