Just saw the last 2 strikes on Ortiz last night. I agree the first one (3-1 pitch) was a strike but McCann did not help with his catch. The last pitch he ****ed up.Comment

This is the first time I've watched an entire start of his and I am really shocked at how much of the plate ALL of his strikes are catching. I don't think he's hit one corner of the zone once...everything is in the middle and hittable. I'm sure he'll get it fixed, but right now he is not commanding his stuff in the strike zone at all."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. It was a treat to watch Kershaw this afternoon. He clearly wasn't his usual dominant self but he STILL got 10 Ks and got himself out of potential trouble. Arrieta may be currently the best pitcher on the planet but to me, Kershaw is still the Gold Standard for his body of work.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
