Ah man, Done BMC is basically so far removed from the original that it means nothing lol.

In non-Yankee news, sucks to see what Matt Harvey is going through and maybe im a terrible person, but I think the scene of him leaving he mound and the entire crowd booing him was amazing. I hate the opinion that these guys can be cheered but fans shouldn't be allowed to boo. If you're going out there and basking in cheers when its good then you can take the crowd's **** when it goes the other way. I just think the clip is epic, I can't imagine how lonely that walk back to the dugout is. Hopefully he gets it together, it'll make the opposite scene with him walking off the mound as the King of NY so much sweeter.

Back on the boys, I guess the media complaint is overuse of the bullpen and pulling the starters too early, I'd say given the inconsistency of our starting rotation that it's not possible to pull someone too early and if we have a chance to close the door and have a way to do it, bring in the three headed monster, that's what its there for.

You would've thought the Rox and Cards game was played at Coors vs Busch given the score (13-7 STL)

I can get that last part of pulling guys to early. I was watching Quick Pitch on MLBN. And they showed the highlights from last night and said Nova only three 62 pitches last night. WTF are you pulling a guy after only throwing 62 pitches?

Mostly because his issue a lot of the time is just familiarity. He had like a 10+ ERA in the 6th inning or something like that last year so the idea is you don't want to push him to the point where all of a sudden guys have a better idea of what he's throwing, don't want to overexpose him. Like I said, it's very cautious for sure, but why even have the bullpen if you're not gonna use them to lock down wins?

Taijuan Walker is one of only 2 pitchers in baseball who hasn't issued a walk in at least 6 games this season. The other, Clayton Kershaw. He also has the bes K:BB ratio in the AL. He will be in the Cy Young conversation in a year or two. Once he hones his craft, and perfects his secondary pitches, watch out. I just hope we're able to lock him up long term like we did with Felix.

Ugh...just saw Josh Reddick is out for 4-6 weeks with a broken thumb suffered last night against the Yanks. He's been playing so well...of course this happens.

What's up with Cutch? .250 AVG and it's middle of May?

He's striking out more and hitting a ton of fly balls this year, both of which can do a number on your batting average.

The first trend is more worrisome since his contact numbers have been steadily declining for the past couple of years. 80.4% in 2013, 78.6% in 2014, 75.9% in 2015, and 71.9% this year.

Speaking of worrisome trends, Yasiel Puig's hitting skills have totally eroded. Awful plate discipline (4% walk rate) and when he does make contact, it's terrible (11% pop-up rate, worst in the majors).

The Dodgers should have sold high on him when they had the chance.

I really feel they ruined him...they tried to change his approach at the plate, asking him to be more patient. Then when that didn't work they said screw it, go back to hacking...and now he hacks at everything. I hope he can find what made him elite before, but he just looks so lost now.

As a whole, the Dodgers have been very unimpressive. Outside of Kershaw's amazingness and Seager starting to come on the last few weeks, they are just meh. The pitching is awful (aside from Kershaw/Jansen) and they just seem like a much of misfit pieces. They might turn it on and get it figured out, but this team doesn't look like a $225M payroll.

Speaking of the Dodgers, what an overrated team.

Highest payroll in MLB and theyre so average.

The pitching is fine. The starting rotation has actually been one of the best in baseball, mostly because that Kershaw guy is basically two aces in one, and once Ryu is healthy and Urias/De Leon (two of the best pitching prospects in the game) are called up, Stripling and Wood can get shuffled to the bullpen and plug the gaps in middle relief. The hitting is the problem. We've already talked about Puig, but Justin Turner and his .316 SLG% has been just as bad.

And even then, the Dodgers still have a 23-19 BaseRuns record. So they're still mostly fine. I think we'll be in the market for another bat though.

I hear the Braves have a great deal for you:

Teheran and Markakis for Puig, Seager, and Urias...it shores up your rotation AND gives you a "veteran" bat to steady the line up
