Say what you want, but I honestly dont believe he has ever used steroids. I may end up wrong in the end, but until then, I stand by what I say.

I'd say he put up pretty damn good numbers this year, and I'm sure he didn't use steroids (or wasn't stupid enough for that matter) for this season. And his stats for this season were actually better than last season's stats. So I don't know that this is very credible information. Now if the trainer would have said that Bonds used them in the 01' season (I believe the season he hit 73 HR) THEN the info would be more credible.

I think one thing many are missing is that using them during the 2003 season (or before it) doesn't mean he's only going to gain the benefits of the roids for that season. It's not like you just lose the muscle mass and strenght you gained immediately when you go off roids. That stays with you. Not to mention that roids are typically cycled (Taken for 2 weeks, off for 6 weeks, take for 2 weeks, off for 6 etc....).

So his year to year stats aren't very credible.

IMO the information leaking out about him using steroids is starting to pile up. I think he used roids or HGH at some point in his career. I read the Sheffield article in Sports Illustrated and I don't recall him every saying Bonds never used. He did say Barry works out hard, but that was it. Look at it this way - even if Sheffield said Bond's never used, other players who were former teammates say he did. People just believe the side that they want to believe.

I meant the interview on ESPN where Sheffield was asked if he thought Bonds used.
