Again, you didn't define your limits, so I assumed you were talking about the entire season. If they're 1-14 against any team not named Cincinnati for the season, it means they've beaten Cincinnati over 50 times to get to their season record.

That obviously doesn't make any sense, hence my comments. Your math isn't so great either when you don't define limits.

I understand what you're saying now, thanks to clarification from others. You just need to communicate your points more effectively.

I figured you would already know what I was talking about. Pretty much figured it was obvious.

The bullpen is a major issue, but hopefully the offense resets when Dexter gets back. I don't think it will, but I'm hoping.
This is where Maddon is supposed to make his money; he's not a tactician. Can he do anything to get them back to being a killer team that's better than the sum of its parts? The main problem to me is as Arrieta has inexplicably turned from invincible to pumpkin and we've sustained key injuries, this whole team has lost confidence in its ability to win every single game. As those of us who have followed Cubs baseball for decades know, there is a huge difference between a confident team and a here-we-go-again Cubs team. It's getting dangerously close to the latter and only the Cubs would be capable of coughing up a 15 game division lead in a season they were 27-games over .500.

There is a lot wrong with this team right now. Those hoping that some rest and Dexter Fowler returning will fix everything are watching a different team than I am. The bullpen has been weak all season and especially bad lately. We could probably DFA about 3 guys there and get better. We have gone from having the best starting pitching in baseball to not having anything approaching an ace and with Hammel and his cramps, we're basically forfeiting 1 out of every 5 games. The offense is still good, but they're fighting from behind every game and not doing anything in high leverage situations lately.

Reading back through, you didn't mention that your frame of reference was over the past 3 weeks. The Cubs have played 86 games this season, so 1-14 after subtracting out the Reds leaves a lot of missing games. That was Jr's [valid] point. That said, I thought it was pretty obvious the timeframe you were referring to even without stating explicitly. Just a misunderstanding. Other than the Reds series (not the most recent one, but the 2nd most recent) the Iowa Cubs would've won more games than us over the past 3 weeks.

The Cubs are 5-14 over the last 19 games. Subtracting out the wins against the Reds, it's 1-14 with a lone win against Miami.

White Sox turned another triple play. Three on the season for them now.

Gonzalez, Grandal, and Seager have each had a 3 HR game this year for the Dodgers.

If he can get another AB and hit a grand slam, it would complete all possible HR/RBI combinations. He has solo, 2-run, and 3-run dongs already.

Surprised the Pirates beat the cubs tonight. Bell looked solid in his one at bat, really set up the inning. Curious to see how to rotation shapes up after the break.

Utley leaned in a little bit to exaggerate the contact, but Norris was going to run into him regardless because of where Utley was fielding the ball. It was a bang-bang play.

No, I know that the Cubs aren't 51-14 and that they haven't played the Reds over 50 times this year, which made his stat make no sense. He didn't provide any context for his arbitrary timeline, which I was pointing out.
