Swarzak is awful, they better drop this clown as soon as possible.

Completely agree. The real question is why does Girardi keep putting that clown in? He's already shown that you can't rely on him to get out of a jam or give you even one quality inning, if anything he's shown that the opposing team can rely on him to give them some runs. I really hope Swarzak is released after this game. It's obvious he's not capable of putting in quality performances at the major league level much if at all.

Using him in such a high-leverage spot was criminally stupid if you ask me.

I have no idea, I'm furious. Fighting for a wildcard spot, and you bring in that garbage can? Can't defend it. If they get this L, it's on Joe, and his ****ing binder.

Diaz has completely lost his fastball command lately. Better rediscover it fast. Pretty sure it's godgers' fault.

Phew, good job by Diaz to tough it out. Nice win for the M's.

L is on you Girardi. Very winnable game, usual bullpen mismanagement.

Ever since I said he'd be the best closer in baseball in a couple seasons, and that he was my new man crush, his FB command has went the way of Ricky "Wild thing" Vaugn. So it is highly plausible, if not probable, that I had something to do with it.

Finally, Atlanta starts to score runs.......and now we can't pitch.

Meanwhile, The Fred is nearing a .950 OPS; if he keeps this performance up, he may steal the 1B Silver Slugger away from Rizzo (.842 OPS for Rizzo versus 1.004 OPS for Freeman after the ASB).

I'm actually kindly hopeful for next year...amazingly enough.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I would not get my hopes up about that.

A Braves fan can dream, eh?

It's still Rizzo's award (who is also in the MVP convo). The only thing that would derail that is an injury. Even with a mini slump, Rizzo's numbers are still better across the board in addition to having a 30 RBI lead and being less lucky on BABIP. Freeman is also behind Votto and about even with Goldschmidt. I could see Freeman on the podium at least.

We haven't been able to pitch for 2+ weeks now...I don't know if it's just a team slump or if all the young guys have hit the wall, but starters/bullpen, it doesn't matter, they are all getting lit up.

Time for the Jays to make hay with the soft schedule upcoming. Hopefully this stupid and bewildering lawsuit against Edwin Encarnacion doesn't affect his play. He seems to be one of those guys that takes outside influences with him to the game. (as evidenced by not wanting any contract distractions during the season etc etc)
