What do the Yankees do now?

Last season they made it to the WS, lose game seven, and brought in the best position player in baseball. What do they do this time around?

Beltran? Johnson? And who is going to be shown the door? Bernie Williams? Some of the coaches?

Steinbrenner is going to go ballistic 1st and foremost and he might have a few of his coaches and players drawn and quartered (to borrow a quote from BSG). Cashman'll probably be gone and torre and Stottlemyer. A good chunk of the roster will probably overturned also. Theres no telling what Georgie'll do he could do very little and just break things or he could bring in a whole new team of coaches and players and go to an insane asylum
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

The Yankees can't overturn too much off their roster due to all the over-paid players on it. I think this might have been Joe Torre's last game as Manager of the Yankees.

good bye most of their starters. bye bye torre. cashman's probably gonna stay (he's been really good). expect another 18 mil/year spent on beltran. and i'm sure we're gonna say how horrible the yanks are for spending the type of cash. god i love this game.

The Yanks have way too many contracts other teams won't touch unless they are willing to cover a lot of it.

There's already rumblings Giambi might get dealt to the A's for some good prospects. The Yanks would flip those prospects for some other players in a trade.

I don't think anybody is retiring.

I expect to see Pavano and Beltran to be signed as FA's.
