The Giants' collapse is pretty epic. Best record in baseball at the All-Star break; worst record in baseball after the All-Star break. Might not make the playoffs, either.

Race to decide the AL East and Wild Card spots is set up perfectly for one hell of a way to close out the MLB season. Should be a wild ride. Feels so good to have meaningful September baseball again.

Orioles have 13 games against BOS/TOR/NYY as well as 3 in Detroit.

Blue Jays have 13 games against BOS/BAL/NYY as well as 3 vs. Seattle who are sort of still in it.

Red Sox have 20 games against BAL/TOR/NYY

It's the reverse of "Giants win the pennant! Giants win the pennant!" except....The Dodgers aren't cheating

Strasburg is gonna need Tommy John surgery again, isn't he?

Yeah Strasburg might have The AIDS again. SMH.

I'm sure every AL East team always lobbies for division changes in the league lol. 15 of the 21 wild card teams(only counting the WC game winners from 2012-2015) have come from the AL East. Without divisions, who knows how diff things might be in the AL.

And people wondered why he jumped on that extension. Sad to see man.

Just a flexor strain this time.

Nats athletic trainer Paul Lessard says MRI for Strasburg was clean regarding ligament. Has a "flexor mass" strain.
Another tweet says it's not season ending, but there's no time table right now. I'd bet they shut him down.

They did everything they could to protect that arm, including holding him out of the playoffs, which I thought was ridiculous.

If a guy's arm is gonna fall off, there's just nothing you can do.

This just goes to show that there's no rhyme or reason for a guy's arm falling off which is why i'm glad the Jays backtracked a lot on their situation with Sanchez because he hasn't felt any ill effects from his innings this year.

Gotta feel bad for Strasburg though, the guy was supposed to be Nolan Ryan and Roger Clemens rolled up in one.

The only negative thing to even come out of the Sanchez situation is the 6 man rotation which has thrown off the pitching, and Jays haven't been able to recover from yet.
