Re: 9/6 - 9/18 Game Discussion Thread
This just goes to show that there's no rhyme or reason for a guy's arm falling off which is why i'm glad the Jays backtracked a lot on their situation with Sanchez because he hasn't felt any ill effects from his innings this year.
Gotta feel bad for Strasburg though, the guy was supposed to be Nolan Ryan and Roger Clemens rolled up in one.
This position puts a lot of stress on the elbow and shoulder due to the timing issue it creates. It's not a 100% cause, because nothing is, but this position adds a lot of torque when the arm starts moving forward and goes through external rotation.Comment

Re: 9/6 - 9/18 Game Discussion Thread
Cubs-Astros opens tonight and should be an interesting series. The Cubs are sending the top of their rotation to deal with a patchwork Houston rotation.
Still feels weird as interleague.

Welp, this is it. You can throw all the sports cliches out there and damn if they ever do apply to this BoSox/Jays series. The Blue Jays need to dig down deep and prove themselves. If they lose this series than I feel it's 1987 all over again and we'll be on the outside looking in as the playoffs begin.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I don't know that there's no rhyme or reason to it. His mechanics, at least to me, seem to have a big hitch that makes him more vulnerable to elbow issues.

Either way, It'll be an exciting series. Some of you Boston fans on here are very classy and while I hate the Sawx I have no such hate for the OS BoSox Nation.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
