Papi has the most homers for a player 40 or older at 35.
He is also the oldest player in baseball history with at least 35 doubles and 35 homers in a season. The previous oldest?

Certainly doesn't hurt that Porcello is adding to his Cy Young résumé this evening.Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment

Wild to think of Pretty Ricky is a legit CY Young contender. Feels like just yesterday we were all bitching about the contract.Comment

Under 90 pitches I believe in that complete game. Hopefully Price takes the Porcello route and year two is a lot prettier.Come hang with me on YouTube! I stream/make videos on a variety of games from sports, to action, to adventure!

Rick is the first Sox pitcher to win 21 games since Schill in 2004.
And his 89 pitches are the fewest thrown by a pitcher in a complete game this season.Last edited by TripleCrown9; 09-19-2016, 08:55 PM.Boston Red Sox

Re: 9/19 - 10/2 Game Discussion Thread
Congrats to Aaron Blair on his first Major League win tonight...it took long enough, but better later than never. BTW - it was cool that tonight Blair pitched well for the win and Swanson was 3-5 with 3 RBI. The young ones are starting to really contribute and the Braves as a whole have played really well in the last few months (27-33 in the 2nd half)."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. Porcello has to be the leader for the AL Cy Young right now. Nobody else's stats are quite as loud as a 21-game winner. And that walk rate tho...
If you claim that Sale or Kluber or Verlander has been a better pitcher, fine. But, it's looking like Porcello. Certainly, Porcello isn't the prototypical "strikeout pitcher" but neither was Keuchel last year.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
