    Where's the loyalty?

All this talk about Pedro Marinez possibly being in Yankee pinstripes for opening day next season at Fenway Park makes me want to puke. I can't imagine how Red Sox fans would feel seeing this. The championship rings will be handed out, imagine if Pedro accepts his in a Yankee uniform, I just can't picture it. Being a Cub fan, we know that the only ex-White Sox ever truly accepted was Sammy Sosa, who's now pretty much hated in Chicago. The Cubs and the White Sox don't really talk much when it comes to dealing players and I don't imagine the Red Sox and Yankees do either.

I would just like to believe that coming off of the greatest season in Red Sox history Pedro Martinez would have enough dignity not to sign with the New York Yankees under any circumstances. Especially after all the nice things he had to say about the city of Boston and how his heart is always there. The fact is that he's going to make an all-star salary next year and deservingly so, but come on, just not in New York. Just thinking of Mark Prior or Kerry Wood wearing a Cardinals uniform makes my stomach turn. Where's have all the Biggio's, Gwynn's and Ripken's gone?

        Exactly. Money trumps all nowadays.

I'd like to see Pedro stay with Boston, but I'm not sure they can afford him.

I think It will be interesting to see how Yankee fans treat Pedro if he does indeed become a Yankee. Will they welcome him with open arms, or will there be bad blood between Pedro and the fans of New York?

It was interesting last night in one of Pedro's interviews he said something to the tune of

They should do whatever it takes to resign him (Derek Lowe), even if it means I have to leave.
We'll see where Martinez ends up but I don't think it'll be in Boston.

I'd boo him every time he took the mound, give him no credit when he pitches well, and bash the hell out of him for every mistake.

Pedro is a man of pride... I dont think we'll see him go to New York. In fact I almost guarantee he would never play there. I bet you anything he'll go to the National League if he doesnt stay with the Sox, probably to the Mets or something lol.

Hell I bet the Cardinals would love to have him, their fans were cheering him in game 3.

Its already been known that the Yankee clubhouse already has bad blood with him, so why in the world would you bring in someone that could cause disruptions in the clubhouse?
