What a great pickup Holland was for the Rockies.

I don't know if that one is the largest age gap, but at 20 years between Jr. and his dad it is definitely more than the Beltran/Correa gap (18 years).
Didn't Julio Franco ever go back-to-back with anyone? If so then the largest age gap is something like 30 years.

Orioles up 6-5. But Nats have them loaded in the ninth.

        Nat's win.

If so, definitely not on back-to-back pitches since he always took the first pitch of every at-bat.

(of course, he could have been the first of the two to homer)

Even if true, I can't imagine any young Braves players back in when... 2005? Maybe Brian McCann or somebody. Maybe it happened, I don't know.

Agreed ... but it's not just him. Mike Dunn and Ian Desmond were also great acquisitions. Oh and Hannigan also another late pickup has played great and brings a lot of leadership to the team. Then we have the trio of the three young rookie starters of Senzatela, Freeland and Marquez who are all pitching with no fear.

So Arenado has been great (as usual), just as Blackmon and LeMahieu have also been great. Parra is awesome, and don't forget about the Little Ninja Armarista and Cargo has made two awesome catches in the field in the last two days. With these guys mentioned above playing so good, this team is for real. But the MVP best player on the team to date has got to be Mark Reynolds.

            Be Like Mark.

Cards have won 6 in a row, and 9 of their last 12. Full game lead on the Reds.

Not sure if I will have time to watch any of the games, but the Yankees/Astros series this weekend will be interesting.

Eduardo Rodriguez might be turning that corner this season. He is young, and was thought to be a steal for Andrew Miller...I'm thinking that is correct, thanks Baltimore.

So how long is Craig Counsell going to run Feliz out there? Every time I turn around that guy is giving up a home run...

Looking forward to Houston/New York this weekend. Tonight is the first time since 2010 that a game is played at Yankee Stadium with two teams that have the best records in baseball.

Well, Game 1 did not disappoint...what an ending! I thought there was no way Marisnick would throw out Ellsbury...

Great throw ends the Yankees night. I'm sending ellsbury every time there. Just a great throw.

Napoli hits his 2nd bomb of the night, and walks it off against the Padres.
