So much for that Braves bullpen scoreless innings streak. Two straight blown saves.

Welp, the Indians have blown two saves in a row too and they have what they have so maybe I can't feel too bad.

Except the M's have a terrible rotation by rookie ball standards, so yeah, if we don't get healthy, quick, then we will have that top pick.

Relievers are a strange breed, Rodney had a ERA of like 0.50 one year then the next it was over 5, they tend to have random great and terrible years.

Headed to Pittsburgh Sunday for the Mets/Pirates game. Harvey v. Glasnow. There's a 80% for rain Sunday night. Really hoping we don't drive there for a rain out.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

It's like that story that came out last year or a couple seasons ago about Madison Bumgarner dating a girl in high school named Madison Bumgarner.
That's even more of a rarity since Jankowski's girl took his name.

Now I could see some guys naming their babies Madison Bumgarner....wouldn't surprise me.

Some relievers only have like 2-3 seasons of reliability and then they drop off the face of the earth. We're so used to seeing high leverage pitchers these days having sustained success but historically speaking most relievers don't have that kind of longevity at a sustained level. They either flame out or bounce around a range of acceptability while never being so bad that they're out of a job.

Wow the Giants just BLEW it. Cubs with loaded bases and 2 outs, wild pitch brings home one, throwing error from the catcher brings home another.

Odubel Herrera is the 9th Phillie since 1913 to strike out 5 times in a game.

He struck out as many times today as DiMaggio did during his whole hitting streak.

The Phillies have played 20,499 games, and today was the first time their #3 hitter struck out 5 times.
