Odubel has been lost since his AS season last year. Like it was said today, he's swinging to not miss vs. to hit...and that's a bad thing.

Time to sit his *** down.

        Swept a hot Rangers team.

Even though they should've won last night.

Well that pretty much is what is expected of Jays fans at this point.

            Pretty sad actually.

Eh, I have no issues with the banner but I think enough is enough with the whole Odor/Bautista thing so not so impressed by the image there.

The fans have definitely not forgotten last may though as Odor was roundly booed every time he stepped up to the plate. Pretty good game tonight though if you're a Jays fan. Devon Travis is just killin' the ball as he tied the club record for most doubles in May and he's the first Blue Jays 2B to have two Grand Slams in his career.

Not shocking that a Jays fan wouldn't take issue with it.

Are comments like this really helping, though?

Someone forgot to let the St.Louis players know there was a game last night.

                        Ouch!

                          A few random thoughts:

                          - Good to see Alex Wood really dominating. I'd like to say it would be nice to still have him, but we have plenty of pitching in the system and we wouldn't have Matt Kemp. I always liked him though, so glad he's bounced back.

                          - What the heck is up with Franco in Philly? He's looking at this 3rd straight "declining" season...he looked like a can't miss player when he came up, but every at bat I see he looks lost at the plate.

                          - It's crazy how "human" Jake Arietta looks these days. He had pinpoint control in 2015, slipped a bit in the 2nd half last year, but he's really struggling this year. If he doesn't turn it around, his FA stock will have taken huge hit...

I hate to keep bringing this up but i'm genuinely confused here. What's the issue? I see it as saying they'd rather get punched in May rather than getting knocked out (not physically but rather out of the playoffs) in October. It seems to be a rather benign statement.

The only way I can see this as being offensive is if you're reading it to mean knocked out physically in which case I agree that's not good at all.

I don't think it's good to see Alex Wood dominating. **** the Dodgers.

As for Franco, meh. Big time Meh. Never thought he was anything special. The hype machine more often than not doesn't hit.

And I always thought Arrieta's dominance was....temporary. Not that it was just good luck or something but I never got the sense that I was watching someone who was just all of a sudden gonna turn into Kershaw level of consistency and prominence. Still a good pitcher of course just not what his 2015 indicated.

It's looking more and more like 2015 was his big career year. He made some mechanical adjustments and the league had to adjust to him. Now his velocity has dropped a bit and he's tinkered too much with his mechanics so that he's not as effective as he once was.

His pending free agency could also play a factor in his struggles. Some guys just put way too much pressure on themselves to play out of their mind during a contract year and it blows up in their face. It will be VERY interesting to see what his market looks like this offseason.
