Wow I can't believe that ball got out. Bryant one handed that off the end of the bat
This umpire is pretty awful. He's calling balls in the zone on the glove side (outside to RHB, inside to LHB) balls and giving 4-6 inches off the plate on the other side.Last edited by Jr.; 06-02-2017, 02:21 PM.Comment

Re: 5/29 - 6/11 Game Discussion Thread
Two things about the Astros. One negative and one insufferable.
1. The Astros are on pace for 114 wins. The last team to get 114+ wins in a season was the 2001 Seattle Mariners. We all know how that turned out for them.
2. Brian Kenney has been a huge fan of the Astros organization and for the last three years have referred to that SI cover. I swear, if the Astros win the WS this year he'll probably have an on air orgasm of joy. It'll be something to behold but at the same time annoying as all get out.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 5/29 - 6/11 Game Discussion Thread
In watching games this year the umpires have been REALLY inconsistent with the corners of the plate. The only solace is, if the umpire is consistent with the call than it's tolerable but once you start confusing the hell out of the players on BOTH teams than you know you have an issue. There have been a few games for the Jays this season where the HP umpires have been so inconsistent that no one is happy by the end of the night.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Lackey hasn't pitched badly today, but eventually the bats are going to need to help out some.

Uhhhh....we'll take it. Tie game, and the Cubs really need to take the lead with bases loaded and one out.
And they don't as Jay GIDP's. That one's going to hurt.

Re: 5/29 - 6/11 Game Discussion Thread
I really didn't think Heyward would turn in to the 2nd best hitter on the team, but he's squaring the ball up a ton this season so far. It's awesome to see. If he could get his bat on plane a little better, he'll have that 20+ HR pop that everyone expected him to have.Comment

Hoo boy. Strop coming in with the game on the line.
Pretty shaky outing from Edwards.
Strop strikes out Molina on a terrible pitch. Phew.

What even just happened there? How did Rizzo get to 3rd?
Heyward comes through with the sac fly.

Last year on this date, the Cubs were on pace for 115 wins. We all know how that turned out for them.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that.
