Sonny Gray isn't worth either of them. Hard pass.

The Dodgers' rotation, even without Kershaw, is very good. I don't think we need another starter. Could probably use a good lefty in the bullpen though.
I personally would keep both, but if we get a front end guy that can help us we obviously have to give someone up even as a rental. Verdugo right now is blocked with our OF situation.

Rays and Mariners are swapping pitching. Erasmo Ramirez is coming back to Seattle for Steve Cishek.

He can't be any worse than some of the guys we've trotted out there. I'm all for anything that prevents Dipoto from trading the last remaining prospect we have for pitching. We already traded O'Neill, Hernandez, and Gohara for a sack of balls. I'm really starting to question his decision making as a GM.

Haha no. Gray isn't worth that. Moving on.

The way I see it, is we're chasing Tampa Bay for the wildcard, and Erasmo will be better than Cishek due to the fact that it's already been announced Cishek will be used in "high leverage" situations agasint RH hitters. Basically unless Erasmo goes full 2014 on us again, he'll help us more in whatever role we put him in (long relief, starter, legit reliever) than Cishek will help TB in that role. We also just called up Cody Martin who can start so maybe Erasmo just goes to our bullpen.

Hellickson scratched tonight. He's not injured. A trade is cooking.

The Yankees are going nowhere in the playoffs with that starting staff either. What's it gonna be? Torres later or go for it right now?

Beane and Forst aren't looking for a Josh Donaldson return. Donaldson played a dirt bag card and talked **** about the front office on social media. On the other side Beane loves Gray. He isn't gonna go anywhere for some fringe.

I wouldn't say nowhere. That's the point in loading the pen. Yankees have plenty of shutdown relievers to bridge the gap. Now I'm not overly confident in winning a world series. But, this wasn't even supposed to be a year where the Yankees competed.

I'm happy with just rolling the dice. I'm not giving up future pieces Torres or Frazier for a often injured pitcher.

I'm just enjoying this year for what it is. I didn't mind parting with Rutherford. Torres and Frazier? No just no.

You think Torres is worth more than what you got him for? Even though he's barely played at AAA and has a major injury on his record?

Let's be real: Sonny Gray is a good starter. That's always worth more than a guy like Chapman, who you got Torres for. As a replacement, the Yankees can always pursue a guy like Machado and pick one of their middle infielders to stick around to make room for him at 3B or SS.

No way I give one of them up for Gray, I wouldn't say they go nowhere with the staff they have. Severino is lights out right now, C.C is very experienced and gives you 5 with that bullpen behind him, Montgomery is pitching really well more times then not. Who in the AL has a staff for the playoffs that hands down beats them 3? I would say Clev., don't dare tell me Houston, outside of Keachel who's been injured they are just as unproven and shaky come playoffs, not Boston or any of the other could be WC teams. I'm not saying their staff is great or doesn't have holes but nobody in the AL imo can say they are going in with a dominant playoff staff
