As a Cardinals fan I can only hope.

Thing is Fowler has full no trade clause and I'm not sure the front office agrees with my stance that his signing was a mistake and that we have young talent to play CF.

If he was close to signing with Jays though, maybe he'd waive for them?

And who knows what'd be going back the other way. Maybe Bautista lol. Cards do need HR/RBIs and could take a small hit in batting average to do so.

The Royals are the other side of the Liriano talks.

Yep the Jays and Royals have been linked for some time. I wonder what the Jays will get in return though i'm not holding my breath on anything really significant.

Looks like rental bats are going for cheap. Smith has the ceiling of a 8th inning reliever.

                      Wow!

If they acquire Yu, think they'll resign him?

It's the Dodgers, they have the money. The question is, will Yu like it enough there to want to stick around.

Having Maeda and Ryu on the roster helps. Plus once Otani is posted you can bet we'll be in the mix for him as well. A lot of factors to consider.

So according to Jon Heyman the reason Sonny Gray isn't in a Yankees uniform yet is there is sticking point. The A's are asking for Clint Frazier or Gleyber Torres to be included in the deal. Yankees are balking at adding one or the other for obvious reasons.

Do we really want to trade either of those guys for a rental one year removed from Tommy John surgery and running a 158 ERA- in July?

The Dodgers' rotation, even without Kershaw, is very good. I don't think we need another starter. Could probably use a good lefty in the bullpen though.

I listened to about 15 seconds of LA sports radio before I parked at work today and heard the two morons saying that they were unsure about Yu Darvish because he "got torched last night" and "he's probably still on fire" and "he was 6-8 going in and now 6-9."

OK fine then don't trade for him.
