It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I am excited to see what they do in a few years when a lot of the big contracts they took on to get good players come off the books. I truly believe, either or both Machado and Harper will be playing for the Dodgers in a few years.

Last week, Sonny Gray was damaged goods and a #3 at best and the Yankees top 5 prospects where off the board.

Yesterday the Yankees acquire a young cost controlled potential ace by only giving up their number 4, 8, and 12 prospects and the Cashgod narrative continues.

After digesting unbiased reviews from non Yankee fans and A's haters, I'm excited for what the A's got back.

Think you're highly exaggerating both those narratives.

Buster Olney was on the radio here this morning and gave the Jays a D+ on their deadline activity. I somewhat agree with him in that I think this whole idea of keeping the window open while retooling on the fly isn't exactly the greatest way to go. We've seen teams try this (mainly the Angels) and look where they are now.

Fowler and Kaprellian are both coming off of major injuries. You should be excited about Mateo though.

Not exaggerating at all. It's actual things I've read. Some of it in this thread, like Sonny being often injured. Some of it outside OS. But fans will be fans.

To be fair, the one guy on OS who was adamant that Gray is crap got ridiculed a bit.

Fowler is gonna lose some speed but that doesn't kill all his value. He was ranked higher than Frazier before the injury. TJ surgery isn't rare anymore and Kap has the potential to be better than Gray. Yes there are risks but I'm still excited.

Pretty sure more than one called him injury prone.

So apparently the Cardinals "floated" a trade proposal of Stephen Piscotty and either Luke Weaver or Jack Flaherty for Sonny Gray.

Fowler wasn't ranked ahead of Frazier in any of the pre or during season lists I'd seen.
