J.D. Martinez to Arizona the Tigers are getting prospects Dawel Lugo, Sergio Alcantara & Jose King per Rosenthal, Morosi, someone else and Tigers Public Relations.

Not a fan of this return. While Banda was too much to hope for, Socrates Brito would have been ideal, since he was blocked in Arizona and the Tigers have a need in the OF. Domingo Leyba could have been Kinsler's replacement in a few years. We already have an Alcantara, his name is Dixon Machado. We would have been better off with the 1st rounder if he left in FA.

This is the kind of deal the Tigers would come out of nowhere to pull 5 years ago, getting an impact bat for a trio of ho-hum prospects.

Avila and Wilson are up next. Kinsler would be a good trade candidate, but most good teams have a 2B.

I'm curious how much Oakland gets for Sonny Gray...guy's performance has been great recently which definitely boosts the package Oakland gets back.

I wonder if Milwaukee will bite.

I hope we do... We have the farm to get him.

I'll gladly take Gray, Nelson, Anderson as my playoff rotation.

Glad to see J.D. Martinez is off the board. That is one guy the Cardinals were considering. Hopefully they continue to just tough it out this season and keep valuable young pieces in place for the future.
