That's too bad. Dude's almost 27, might time be to grow up a little bit if he ever wants to reach that potential.

Someone might want to explain to him what "thick-skinned" actually means. What he's searching for is actually "thin-skinned, but resilient."

Oh well, there are stupider tweets out there. Like basically all of them.

So Lincecum was throwing 93-95 mph today at his showcase. When he last pitched in the majors he was sitting at 86-88. I bet he could be a solid bullpen arm for someone (I can't see him starting).

I was thinking the same about the Tigers since it'd be perfect to sign him low and hope he proves to be worthy of trading for. Tigers gotta get any prospect available right now

D'Backs sign Jorge De La Rosa to MiLB deal.

Mets sign Jason Vargas to a 2 yr deal.

I like that signing for the Mets. As a fly ball pitcher I think Citi Field/Juan Lagaras will help him out. If he's healthy, could be a really good #4 for the Mets.

Before Manfred's press conference, I thought the odds of a suit like that were pretty long, simply because of the risk involved to the union and its longstanding risk-averse behavior. But I'd say the odds of something like that happening went up significantly yesterday with Manfred's press conference."

This is what happens when you have a guy with no labor experience running the union. Tony Clark has been a disaster from day one. If the union disbands and files a lawsuit it will be one of the worst things to happen and Marvin Miller will be rolling over in his grave.

Just to clarify, the union wouldn't be disbanding permanently. It's more of a gesture, the NBAPA disbanded during their lockout in 2011. It's still a step you don't want to take, and basically admits incompetence in negotiating the last CBA. But that's hardly a secret anyway.
