      Wow... Mets to DFA Harvey.

Really unbelievable how fast he fell off... Wasn't he one of the best SPs just a couple years ago?

        Didn't that happen on Friday?

And he was. He had surgery to relieve thoracic outlet syndrome (had 2 ribs removed) a couple of years ago and hasn't been the same since.

Well then, Mets send Matt Harvey to Cincinnati for Devin Mesoraco and a crisp 20.

So Matt Harvey did not agree to go to the minors yet he is traded to the Reds. What's the difference? [emoji23]

Jays call up Deck McGuire. Their first pick in 2010, got rid of him in 2014(never made it to the majors with the Jays), he had a few games in the majors in 2017 with the Reds before Jays signed him back for this season.

Looking back at that 2010 draft, I know 1st rounds in MLB are the least guaranteed to draft good players of any of the major sports leagues, but that single round actually had some good guys. You could build a playoff team out of it. That rotation alone could carry a team.

                Pitchers:
                Sale
                Pomeranz
                Syndergaard
                Aaron Sanchez
                Taijuan Walker
                Taillon
                Harvey

                Batters:
                Machado
                Harper
                Yelich
                Grandal
                Castellanos

                  Padres call up Franmill Reyes.

He had a stretch in AAA where he hit 8 homeruns in 5 games. Interesting to see how he does.

0-4 with two strikeouts. Fitting in with the rest of the lineup.

Sad way to potentially end his career. Bautista released by the Braves.

                        Hit .143, a .593OPS and 2HRs in 40 plate appearances.

Gee, who could have imagined the Jose Bautista signing turning out like this.

Sounds like the Dodgers and White Sox have discussed Jose Abreu. The feeling is if LA acquires Abreu, Cody Bellinger would move to CF.

So the Mets may be interested in Jose Bautista.

Man, for Jose's sake I think he should just retire. There's no use in becoming a journeyman crap player like he was before he landed in Toronto.
