The difference is the old owner was dumb enough to keep doing the same thing over and over again and you hope the new ones aren't. It seems like you expected a change in ownership to mean suddenly the Marlins are going to be putting a lot of money into their franchise but that was never the case. From what we're told, the team doesn't make any money. So the difference in ownership is that the new team is going to operate under the assumption that you can't make money unless you're spending almost no money instead of just pouring money in and then taking it all back out a year later. Instead of the Marlins spending a ton every 5 seasons and then getting rid of everyone, they just won't spend anymore money at all.

    That's the difference.

And I think this group cares. Loria didn't give a **** about the team, the fanbase and his track record proves that. It was all about the $$$.

All the comments say he's ripping the Marlins a new one and I'm stuck at work during the press conference

How funny would it be if Jeter trades Castro back to the Yankees.

You must be the only one, every take I find is saying the same thing. Called them an unprofessional circus in his farewell IG post, told the fans to "hang in there", said the organization had no structure, went against Jeter saying he told him he wanted to leave by saying he wanted to stay until they told him there was no shot of winning, etc. I can't really find anything positive about them. He said "You're the media, you see what goes down there." The consensus seems to be he pulled no punches and shied away from no questions.

                  Oof!

Well there goes Jeter's sterling reputation. It sounds like Stanton unloaded all over the Marlins and Jeter. I'm sure when I get a chance to watch some MLB-N they'll talk about this for a while.

I had it on in the background but stupid work got in the way and had to mute.
I hope they replay his presser.
