Sooooo.......how long do you guys think Judge has to get it together before the NY media starts turning on him and bringing up his lack of HR’s?

They were going by past stats as Donaldson had good numbers against Robertson but really, this is where managing comes into play. Sometimes you have to use your eyes and not just the numbers.

Yes yes, I shouldn't have said no sense, I understand the reason. It's just a bad reason. Relying on a small sample size to load the bases for a guy who's on fire right now

Shohei was still hitting 98-99 at 85+ pitches. Outside of one bad pitch against Chapman (Joyce and Piscotty got hits on good pitches) he had a fantastic outing. Quality start and qualified for the win. He’s gonna be great. Can’t wait till he shuts his doubters up.

From what I saw today he seems to have a plus-plus fastball, a plus splitter, a meh slider and a show me curveball. Easy delivery.

He has the talent to be at least a #3 in the majors.

                      Now lets see the hitting.

Mitch Haniger's home run a few minutes ago was the 100th homer of the season.

Only problem with his fastball is that (today at least) it was very flat.

He was able to use the splitter to offset that though because that alone had the hitters on edge.

For the second year in a row, Bryce Harper has homered twice on Easter Sunday.

The Cubs split against Miami and the rotation had a bad 1st turn through. Hopefully they get it together. Was not expecting Lester, Darvish, AND Quintana to all be bad the 1st time through (Q's first 4 IP were actually pretty good). Lester was just bad. Darvish had no idea where most of his pitches were going and was getting hit hard by a weak Marlins team. Still tipping, Yu?

The Cubs are not hitting lefties so far. Caleb Smith and Dillon Peters totally shut them down, lol. Cubs have scored 1 run total in the 2 games started by lefties. Some hard hit balls today at least. Bryant, Baez, Russell, and Contreras (who didn't play today) are gonna need to play better to protect this lineup from lefties.

Correction: I missed that Brian Dozier hit 2 homers today, so Dee Gordon's shot right before Haniger's was actually the 100th.
