I was looking at this the other day...Orioles are stuck with that contract too.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Let's see the Cardinal bullpen can hang on to one here.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

This Cubs/Phils game is brought to you by the letters "B, and B"

Chatwood walks 7 Phils before leaving in the 5th, and the Cubs are currently in the middle of a rally sustained by a Brian Duensing base on balls. Was actually a really good AB too as he fouled a couple of pitches off.

Oh, here we go with the catcher blocking home plate rule.

It goes the Cubs' way and the inning continues, but even so I don't like the rule itself (or at least the interpretation of it on a play like that).

Heh, all the warning signs about him were plain to everyone and yet there he is literally fleecing money from the O's.

I can't imagine there is a worst start in the world to watch than a Tyler Chatwood start. Cubs now a .5 game back this team is good.

My measuring stick for worst pitching performances to watch from an entertainment standpoint was always Juan Guzman. Chatwood, after watching a couple starts of his this year is the new #1 in my books.

I feel sorry for anyone that goes to a game that he starts.

It's so bad. He has great stuff but has no idea where it's going. one pitch he'll throw a ball to the backstop next he locate a perfectly executed changeup.

his walk rate is near his strikeout rate and his ERA somehow is still respectable but he's really killing the bullpen when Darvish gets back and i know he signed a big contract i gotta imagine they gotta seriously consider starting Montgomery over him.

I never liked Ackley. I wanted us to take Trout at #2 that year instead we took Ackley, and Trout went 19 to the Angels. So I never liked him. I legit would have made a better GM than Jack Zdierencic or however you spell his dumb name.

Pedro Martinez jinxed Otani. I was watching MLB Network yesterday and he was talking about how Otani's pitch speed was up and down which indicated something was wrong. He thought maybe it was tendinitis.

Turned out to be a blister and he had to leave the game. But it was eerie how Pedro basically called that there was an underlying issue.

Think he'd make a really good pitching coach.

Trout went 25th. The 19th pick was Shelby Miller to the Cardinals.

Also, you probably legit would not have.

Ackley was the best college player available going into the draft. Mike Trout was rising late but very few mocks even had him going first. I think Mayo had him going as high as 6th to the Giants.
