I wonder if there are any good backup catchers available? If there is one black hole on our roster it is someone who can effectively spell Zunino.

I did research on that draft. And watched a lot of film on a lot of the prospects. And I hadn't heard much on Trout before watching him so I didnt have any expectations. And need less to say I was absolutely wowed. I remember posting on the now defunct CBS sports forums that Trout had the highest floor and highest ceiling of any player in the draft and I even went as far as to say he had HOF potential, and would consider him over Strasberg. I was pretty much mocked, and laughed at. I love when I'm right.

Useless info nobody but me cares about:

I graduated HS with Ackley...dude transferred from a lower tiered HS to play his senior ball with my baseball team that got up to #6 in the nation.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

You think I have a shot at making the team? Full disclosure I haven't played baseball since I was a teenager and I never played catcher. But I seem to have the goods, right?

And that's how Ohtani can lose ROY.

Edit: You guys like how that's all non info so you have to go look up what I'm talking about?

Ohtani out for at least 3 weeks with a grade 2 UCL sprain. Dude seems super injury prone so far.

It's OK. We'll still get the hot devastation takes here.

Edit: Didn't realize it was second in a year. That is not good.

So I wonder if he will still hit as DH or if they'll shut him down completely.

Edit: Placed on the DL...that surprises me but his arm is definitely more valuable than his bat.

On the other hand, what if persistent arm injuries force him into an everyday player role and not pitching? That would be a weird outcome vs what everyone was expecting. He still has a higher ceiling as a pitcher, but he's shown he can hit MLB pitching.

Pedro called the Otani injury. Wow.

                              That'd be so baseball.

                              Unfortunately.

Yup, more than a blister for sure. Pedro is amazing. I don't want him to become a pitching coach. He needs to stay on MLBN forever.
