Marcel Ozuna is hot...not missing much at all right now. Takes Hendricks deep in the 1st to put Cards up early.

This Mariners/Red Sox game may just break a major league record...for lowest average pitch speed.

Well, the Angels lost to Oakland 6-4 today. Mike Trout was a mere 1/3 with a BB and a run scored.

But in doing so, he likely tied Ryne Sandberg for 115th all time in fWAR (60.9). He'll pass Hank Greenberg (61.1) next. Give Trout just 4 more WAR this season (well off the pace) and he'll finish the season in 89th place and just tenths behind Tony Gwynn.

Here are some of the players Trout has passed so far this year: Billy Williams, Shoeless Joe, Sammy Sosa, Dave Winfield, Andre Dawson, Ichiro, and Jackie Robinson.

        Note...position players only.

Speaking of not sustainable....half of Seattle's wins have been by 1 run.

I have no idea what has happened to Jason Heyward, but I'm loving it...

Someone seriously alert the authorities. Jason Heyward has been bodysnatched.

                        These Cardinals really struggle defensively.

Gonna be an interesting AL Cy Young race. Verlander, Cole, Severino, Kluber, Sale, Paxton, and Bauer among the early contenders.
