And that solo shot by Davis completes the HR cycle for the A's.

5 games in 4 days would definitely take a toll on any pitching staff, but yeah the Cubs need pitching. badly

Also, Gary Sanchez with two huge blunders in today's game. Didn't hustle after a passed ball allowing Jake Bauers to score from 2nd, and then doesn't run out a ground ball that he probably would have beat out to end the game. If he hustles the tying run probably scores

Rizzo on the mound for the final out in the Top 9.

2 pitches and he makes short work of A.J. Pollock.

How many times has a position player got on the mound this year? It seems like almost a nightly occurrence.

The corpse of the once proud Baltimore Orioles franchise has dropped 4 straight since the ASB. Now 28-73. Can they do worse than 15-46 in their final 61 games? If so, they will "beat" the 2003 Tigers.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr is going off.

He's now had 6 straight games with at least 2 hits. In his last 12 games, 11 of them he has at least a hit in, batting .400 in that span!

Can't wait for an IF with Vlad,Bo,Gurriel.

This would be interesting if it's more than normal considering the large amount of no-hitters into the 6th inning this year as well. Opposite ends of the pitching spectrum.

Jays entire roster will be 2B/SS lol. They also got Biggio who plays 2B and Tim Lopes(one of their best guys in AAA) also plays 2B.

If they have Urena,Bo,LGJ up at the same time, 1 won't get to play. Unless one of them can convert to 3B and let Vlad move to 1B.

Urena has fallen in the eyes of the team and fans IMO. He's still a manageable asset but I think the Jays would be wise to trade him as I don't think he'll quite pan out.

Anywho, Jays obviously fell to pieces last night with a bullpen day but that's to be expected.

In other news I'm overjoyed to see that Poncedeleon has a no-hitter through 7! After the horrors he went through earlier this season that turned out to be a helluva story.

I think it's time for John Sterling to start saying: "Gary is weary."

If I'm not mistaken it's 34 or 35 position players that have pitched in a game this season. It's the most ever.
