I know its a jinx and all but Poncedeleon has a no hitter thru 5 against the Reds in his major league debut

I'm not sure how he's even successful in the minors. He throws the straightest 92-94 that I've seen in a long time.

Kmox isn't even talking about it during the broadcast. I had to go to MLB.com to check if it was still going.

What a story. 90 pitches though in a close game, so it could end up a combined no-no attempt.

Lot more interesting than what's going on at Wrigley right now for sure.

I would be very impressed if anyone who wasn't watching the MLB Tonight live look-in of the Cardinals game knew who the only pitcher to throw a no-hitter in their MLB debut is

What a debut for Poncedeleon. 7 innings of no hit ball. Pinch hit for in the 8th as he was up to nearly 120 pitches for the night. For a kid that not 15 months ago was undergoing brain surgery after taking a line drive off the head, this is a very special night.

Now lets get him his first major league win boys.

I'm fairly certain I know who this is...just can't recall his name. He pitched for the St. Louis Browns, IIRC, and threw a no-no in his debut in 1950 or there about. Never did much after that, however.

I thought Bucholz threw a no-no in his debut then was sent down the next day?

I realize this Cubs-Snakes game isn't all that close right now, but this crew (Adnan Virk, Tim Kurkjian, Eduardo Perez) is super annoying in that they're talking about anything and everything but the game. A live look in on a no hitter is one thing...but these guys suck.

                                That was his 2nd start...
