Fun facts about the Rockies/Dodgers tiebreaker:
-This will be first NL tiebreak game since 2007. And first tiebreak for an NL division spot since 1980. The 2007 winner was the Rockies. The 1980 loser was the Dodgers.

-Before this year, Dodgers franchise has been the only one to be involved in every NL tiebreaker for the division. They have been in 5(6 after this year) and still could be only one involved in every game depending on how Cubs/Brewers games end.

Let us all pause for a moment to shame the dead corpse of the once proud San Francisco Giants organization. No team in baseball simply quit quite like they did over the past month of the season.

Odds are we're going to have two Game 163s tomorrow followed by a Wild Card deathmatch the day after. These writers are total hacks.

          It's official.

After being pinch-hit for, Khris Davis has officially batted .247 for the 4th consecutive season.

            Remarkably consistent.

Len Kasper doing his homework, giving a shout out on the Cubs' broadcast to Khris Davis finishing with a .247 batting average once again.

Although not technically or statistically correct, I feel the WC game is more like a game 163 than it is like a playoff game.

In other words, I wouldn't be so inclined to be champagne-celebrating for the WC game, only if I win that one.

My mind would change on that notion if that was a three-game series or something.

The Rockies have an especially tough road ahead. They travel from Denver to LA for tomorrow's game 163. If they win that, they get to travel from LA to CHI/MKE the day after for the actual Wild Card game.

Cubs offense showing some vital signs. Nice to see Bryzzo leading the charge here. Cubs leading 6-2.

That wasn't a HR, and I can't believe it's not being reviewed. Pretty clearly hit the basket and backspun back to the field.

                          Bottom line is 8-2 Cubs.

                              With a 162-game schedule there's always a game 155, but with a 154-game schedule, you can never have a game 163.
