Bruce has hit .294 with an OPS just under 1.000. He has 7 home runs, 4 doubles and 20 RBI in 19 games since being acquired.

Maybe the Phillies should've acquired Jay Bruce in the offseason instead of giving Harper all that money.

We may get to see Kimbrel don the Cubby blue today after all.

Hopefully I can get this triple post in...

Ozzie Albies' career against the Cubs (entering today's play): 16 games, .453/.521/.781, 4 HR 11 RBI 12 XBH, .481 BABIP, .539 wOBA.

Jean Segura with the 3-run walk-off home run against Edwin Diaz and the Phillies have swept the 4-game series with the Mets. Phillies are smoking hot right now!

I'm not ready to call them hot until this extends into winning series against multiple teams. Kapler's managing of Neris was terrible. He should not have seen the mound today. This is not a video game. But it is nice to see Nola back in form the last 2 games, though he is starting to feel what Hamels felt when he was here.

Good day to find the offense mid-game with Milwaukee winning.

Kimbrel got the first two outs pretty easily but the Braves battled him pretty hard for that last one. He lost the zone to Swanson but fortunately Freeman hit the ball right to Rizzo who was playing on the foul line. And yeah, I know the called third to McCann wasn't a strike.

                            5-5 homestand, off to Cincy.

that was a tough 1st outing but the fastball looked really good the breaking ball will eventually come you aren't worried about that in his 1st outing in the slightest.

But see how just having him puts the whole bullpen in place. You can use Cishek or Strop even earlier with Kintzler not far behind. less Montgomery and Brach when ahead. It changes everything.

That was pretty huge to get a split. I wasn't expecting it in a chatwood start.
