Lol Mets. This is a thing of beauty right here. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Longtime WFAN radio man Mike Francesa typically only pops up on the Philly radar when he’s falling asleep on air, getting facts very wrong or watching the Phillies hit a walk-off home run against the Mets live on the air. The latter happened Thursday when Jean Segura put a dagger through Mets’ fans hearts when he hit a walk-off home run…

Someone needs to investigate Snitker. You can't tell me after today that he is not throwing games. Worse managing today than ever under Gonzalez.

        5-5 homestand, off to Cincy.
It wasn't egregiously a ball either. It looked maybe an inch off the plate. The old adage of protecting with 2 strikes applies here. McCann should be just as upset with himself as with the umpire.

          Simmons is back tonight.

Amazing. Wasn't his injury like a 4 month thing?

I didn't see the CarGo ejection, but I was surprised McCann wasn't run there

Yeah but when you are battling and foul off 2 or 3 balls that's really a tough call to take.

Ehh, the McCann call never even cross the plate. It broke towards the plate, but still ended up a few inches off of the black. McCann had every right to be angry there.

Cubs getting destroyed in Cincy, and Cole Hamels leaves after 1 IP due to what'll probably be an oblique strain.

Mike Montgomery would normally come through in spots like this, but he's having himself a pretty brutal season. Brad Brach on in the 4th inning...this'll end with Caratini or Descalso on the mound probably.

Miami has the better record in the last 30 games and has won 4 straight against the Phillies. They probably won't end up being better in the long run, but they are clearly playing better in the last month than the Phillies.

Impressed with how Newman has hit since the Pirates called him up. Him and Reynolds have been solid rookies.

Yet they're still in last place. Phillies are not.

But at this moment in time who is playing better ball? I don't know how anyone could answer the Phillies are. I didn't pick a short 5 or 10 game sequence. I picked 30 games. A full month of games the Marlins have been playing better than the Phillies and not only that, they've won 4 straight over them. As of right now there is no way you can say the Marlins aren't playing better ball than the Phillies. I said they probably won't end up better in the longrun, but over the past month and the last two series the Marlins are 100% the better team. Their record shows it, their 4 straight wins shows it.
