Thanks for the reminder, I forgot this was available on MLB.tv since it isn't on FOX. Streaming now instead of watching on ESPN.

Acuna wearing the mask while running the bases...interesting.

Also, comparing him to Rickey Henderson? Come on, Sutcliffe...

I know that AA said pitchers are only going 3 innings to start the year, but I hope they leave Soroka in.

Quite a few of the baserunners I've seen in the exhibition games were wearing masks, as were the defenders covering those bases.

Anyone know what the tents in the stands at Citi field are for? Are they for fan cutout storage?

Such a weird day. It's the Braves' "opening day", and I didn't even know what time the game started. I turned it on just in time to see Inciarte rob a home run, and I have to admit that I just wasn't all that excited.

Fun to see Soroka pitch, and guys like Acuna, Ozzie and now Freddie hit.

At least they let Soroka pitch through 6.

I definitely rushed home from work to try and catch the first pitch and have thoroughly enjoyed this game so far...sure, I miss the fans/atmosphere, but we haven't had live sports in months and baseball that matters for 9 months, so ya...I'm loving it.

Great pitching so far, situational hitting hasn't been great.

Inciarte didn't rob a HR, he just played it up so he would get credit for it looking close. He was a few feet from the wall and the ball was going to land at the bottom of the wall or bounce into the wall.

I could tell right away Martin was too hittable; his pitches are too flat. It was just a matter of time throwing that stuff up there...

No fans is definitely weird, but unfortunately I think this is just something that I'm going to feel all "season" long. Universal DH, shortest season in 120 years, players opting out, other players being more or less IL'd because they are sick/showing signs of sickness, and an expanded playoff that makes this shortened season that should have made each game more meaningful, almost meaningless. Obviously there are legitimate reasons for some of those, but all of that combined just makes it so these games don't have much meaning for me. I totally get having excitement to have sports for the first time in months though.

I swear to god, not hyperbole... for the quickest split-second that I saw the Tigers-Reds game started up, with the empty seats behind home plate I thought nothing of the fact that: "Oh yeah, we're in a pandemic." It just seemed so natural to me that barely anybody goes to their games to begin with (granted, they would draw many fans on Opening Day, but I was letting my muscle memory kick in there).

Man...really poor at bat by Acuna in that spot. Did he even swing?

My Yahoo Fantasy Baseball team shows that Christian Yelich, Keston Hiura, and David Dahl are all scratched for today, but I see the lineups on MLB.com and it shows they're starting. What's the deal here?

Not on the last pitch, but he whiffed on strike two.

I hate this "swinging up" crap. Level out more, boys!

Rays played a video of someone singing the "old" Canadian anthem in the pregame. It looked like a new video, from a zoom feed or something.

Anthem had a line changed a few years back.
