Acuna cannot even hit a straight fastball right now. He isn't winning the MVP. He needs to just make contact.

Top of the lineup for the Braves are really missing spring training to get ready.

I've seen guys do that too.

Yandy Diaz was the one which bothered me the most on the weekend.

One at bat he has his mask on, but then he doesn't in the dugout. He then doesn't during another at bat. Later he has it back on again. Then he wears it as a neckband. Like what's the point?

Given how Atlanta doesn't know how to put a bat on the ball so far this year, this one might be over already. Maybe they'll miss the playoffs and Snitker will finally be gone? Jk, that isn't happening. We're stuck with him even if they go 10-50.

Braves pound it last night, get pounded tonight.

Nature of the sport. This is why baseball is the best, BTW. Game variance. And it's exactly why I'm so resistant about any forced unnecessary changes that reduce game variance and push game results to ultimately become more cookie cutter.

Why people tasked with promoting the sport don't promote the unpredictability/unique day to day results of games as a selling point is beyond me.

Blue Jays back to .500! Beat the defending champs in their park.

Another funny sanitizer moment. After the win the players go for their usual post game high fives(or in this case, elbow taps) and Vladdy is out there in the lineup giving each guy some sanitizer.

Four runs on four solo shots. Some things never change.

Vladdy looks really bad right now at the plate. Hopefully, he turns it around.

Contreras's pitch receiving looks a lot better so far this year. He's doing a great job of catching the ball into the zone

Raffy Devers finished 3rd all-time in XBH for an Age-22 season or younger last year.

                              He had 90.
Alex Rodriguez in 1996 had 91.
Joe DiMaggio in 1937 had 96.

A couple other milestones achieved today that hadn't happened in a while.

Boston gave up 7+ runs in 3 of their first 4 games. That hasn't happened (for them) since 1901.

And speaking of 1901, Tampa Bay scored 14 runs and struck out 19 batters today, something that has never happened in the American League since it was founded in 1901.

I'm happy I won't have to spell Foltynewicz anymore.

Happy trails and **** outta here for that Game 5 garbage last year.
