I don’t mind it for infos sake, but when they try and use it to indicate a team’s defensive ability when a guy won 3 GG’s ten years ago.

The Cardinals lost both games of a doubleheader to the Pirates tonight.

      Damn!
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

They were both 7 inning games. First went to extra's.

Like who cares if this guy was a former prospect of the team he's playing against in 2020 when he hasn't been part of their organization since 2012.
Now that one I can't beat up too much. I actually enjoy hearing those little tid bits.

I remember thinking Paul O'Neil was a Yankee lifer. Also remember I was super young baseball fan during the late 90's. So finding out on TV was cool. And then checking his career stats. And finding out wow. He played for them (Reds) for a while not just a year or 2. I though that was cool. Even a year in a system. I could imagine there are some feelings there.

I always like to know that. I know when I played against former players/coaches, I always wanted to stick it to them. Yes, bitterness motivates me even if it is beer league slopitch. I'm guessing it's the same for some of these players.

I find it interesting when an organization gives up on a player and he turns into a decent player. Makes me wonder about their scouting and coaching ability. Of course, they may have given up just because the dude was out of options or he wanted out.

At first sure, but every meeting for the future will always have that mentioned?

I can't remember the last time the Yankees lost 6 in a row.

Jays better hold onto the lead. These games are so important now. Win and they are 2.5 games ahead of the Os and 1 behind the Yankees.

But the SP curse continues. Jays have had just 1 pitcher since July 25th to go 7 or more innings, and that happened on August 22nd. Wait, did I mention I was referring to 2019 on both those dates?!

Somehow Jays are actually a .500 team in this almost 90 game span.

A's and Astros just walked off the field. No game in Houston tonight.

Jays winning 2-0 then 3-2, but of course going to lose in extra again.

Edit- Or not! Grichuk walks it off with 2 outs, down by 1! Bailed them out big time because that was a horrible start to the inning by Panik.

Not losing tonight, baby. Walk off homer by Grichuk with two out in the 10th for the Win.

Edit: Ninth extra inning game of the season.

9! That's more than the entire AL Central and NL East.

2nd most in the MLB is 6! Jays have more extra inning wins and losses than most teams even have extra inning games played.

What a play by Austin Riley to keep the Phillies/Braves game going; playing in with the winning run on 3rd, he backhanded a smash and fired a one hopper home from his knees to nail the runner. To the 10th!
