Just saw that the Phillies bullpen currently has the 2nd worst ERA in MLB history, sitting at 7.17 (124 earned runs in 155 2/3 innings).

The only team worse than that was also the Phillies in 1930 (8.01).

Can't lose to the Pirates at this point of the season. SMDH

Rays and White Sox punch their postseason ticket.

Since arriving in Minnesota, Nelson Cruz has played in 169 games. He has 57 HR, 140 RBI, and an OPS just over 1.000.

          What a man.

Like it's his job...well, wait, he is a DH, so that literally is his only job.

BTW - I didn't see it discussed here, but I was surprised to see Manfred saying that of the new rules the ONLY one that he sees making a return next year is the expanded playoffs. He said that ownership has actually been down on the DH; I'll be honest, as much as I prefer pitchers hitting, I'd rather have a full blown DH than expanded playoffs.

Having ****ty pitchers hit sucks. If you have a good hitting pitcher, you can always refuse the DH. DH FOR ALL

Looking at the standings; further evidence that a short season is garbage is the Nationals have nearly matched last year’s start (19-29 vs 19-31) and have no chance of making the playoffs.

Jays are about to have one of biggest collapses and drop right out of the playoffs.

Less than 15 games to go in the season, they're sitting in the 5 seed, 6 games above .500.

Now less than 10 games to go, about to lose their 5th straight and getting closer and closer to being below .500.

Big doubleheader sweep last night for the Cardinals

Unfortunate news is that it’s unlikely Dakota Hudson pitches again this season

What had happened to Steven Matz!? He’s giving up nearly 4 HR/9 IP...yikes.

                                Two other things.

                                1. Ron Gardenhire just retired effective immediately.

                                2. I was on Pujols' baseball-reference page, and I found out he's the all-time leader in GDP.
