My math was off. Should be 16 division titles (15 East and one West) for the Braves since the Marlins entered.

Very frustrating as a Braves fan.

I was actually surprised at the answer.

      Probably the Phillies in 2011?

Braves actually hold the record for division titles (20) since divisional play started. They have 15 NL East titles and 5 NL West titles (69, 82, and 91-93). Of course...only one WS win. They are 1-5 in WS and 6-6 in the LCS.

Even with that, I’d take it to have a team that is in it nearly every season...

          Yes, the Phillies.

I'm surprised they've been out for so long. After that, the Pirates are next in 2016. Nice to see not many long droughts anymore.

Hopefully we dont see those 20+ year droughts leaguewide.

I remember how refreshing it was when we saw Pirates, Jays, Royals all ending their 20+ year droughts around the same time.

This Crochet kid for the White Sox is nasty. I haven't seen a fastball under 100 so far (missed his first inning)

EDIT: As I type that he dials it down all the way to 99 to get Bote to pop-up

I know they used a first round pick on him and probably have plans to use him in the rotation, but he could be a Hader-level dominant reliever with his stuff

Obviously final day of regular season will be fun, but this might be first time I've ever been this excited for final day of regular season because it has meaning for me. Past playoff years for Jays I believe their spot was already determined, so final day meant nothing.

Now...Jays win and Yankees loss tomorrow has Jays in the 5 seed!

Not a lot to be excited about this season for the Pirates, but Hayes with a five hit night, nice.

                    Re: 9/14 - 9/27 Game Discussion Thread

Going into final day, many teams still have no idea where they're finishing.

Rays as 1 seed, Astros as 6 seed are only locks in the AL.

Dodgers as 1 seed, Braves 2 seed, Cubs 3 seed, Padres 4 seed are the locks in the NL.

What a weird format. 3 seed could play a 29 win Astros team. 1 seed might play a 33 win Jays or Yankees team. And in the NL, 5 seed plays a 36-37 win Padres team. 6 seed could play a 33 win Cubs team.

If the Brewers win tomorrow, they finish 30-30 and clinch a playoff spot.

                      They've been 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 5-5, 10-10, 11-11, 26-26, 27-27 but haven't been over .500 at any point this season.

Giants need to win and Brewers need to lose for the Giants to take that last WC spot.

The Giants have dug their own hole they're in right now, starting with Gabe Kapler. Late-game mnagement has been dreadful.

Cardinals and Brewers today, the winner gets into the playoffs.

The loser, could get in as well.

                          Just win Cards...just win.

                            We're at game 60!

Remember when it seemed like the season might not have happened if the Jays couldn't find a home, then the Phillies, Marlins, Cards and others tested positive. Not even a week into season and we doubted we'd get here.

Come on Pittsburgh! The way things stand right now, Jays could be headed for a series vs Cleveland...unless Pirates are able to win.

                              Edit
I guess Jays eliminated that scenario themselves. What do you do to avoid Cleveland? Throw in Shun "8ERA" Yamaguchi for no reason in the middle of a tie ballgame to lose the game for you.

Giants were definitely burned by the scheduling format this year, with 1/3 of their games against the Dodgers and Padres.
