    Wow.

Two deals (three technically) so far, and apparently Montas is close to being dealt.

That Hader deal is insane! Solid package for the Brewers to remain competitive, and the Padres got one of the best to close it out.

Yankees deal I like a lot for both sides. He's been solid this year, and 5 years of control for a #7 prospect in a decent system. Not bad.

They weren't going to pay him after next year so why not get someone who has shown to be solid but hasnt been great this year. Someone who could slot into the rotation or long relief, as well as prospects.

Solid deal for both sides. Brewers will still be very good without Hader.

Anyone else feeling the Padres pulling off a massive deadline with Hader today and Soto tomorrow?

Hoping the Yankees land Montas. Wouldn't destroy the farm system. Would be a massive addition to a rotation that has somewhat hit a wall.

            Yes

The package they sent to the Brewers did not include a single player in the package rumored to be offered to the Nats for Soto.

I think Hader and Soto are both Padres

The strongest rumor on Montas is that he's going to the Yankees.

Twins are for sure out according to self reports.

Brewers have Williams in line, who is a great reliever (probably one notch below Hader), to step in right away as the closer and get Rogers to step in as a setup man plus other goodies for a guy I'm guessing they weren't going to resign.

Not surprising but Angels are not gonna move Ohtani at the TD.

Rays get Garrett Cleavinger from Dodgers.

                    Didn't see return

EDIT: German Tapia going to the Dodgers

My gut says Soto wont be moved (although I have been wrong about lots of baseball things before), but if there is a team that has what it takes to acquire him (and more importantly is willing to actually give that up to make a deal) its San Diego.

Like CB said this takes nothing away from a potential Soto package

Cubs trade very effective 27yo reliever with years of team control for *checks notes* virtually nothing.

I have a feeling they will not net anything worth anything for this fire sale....just like last year.

Yankees did very well in all of their trades.

Waldichuk was Yankees’ No 5 prospect, Medina was No. 10, Sears No. 20, Bowman No. 21.

Today alone dealing your 5th, 7th, 10th, 20th, and 21st prospects is crazy, but they got some solid arms coming to help.

Montas and Trevino will be solid.

Sucks to see Mancini go to Houston. Good dude.

Excellent job by the Yankees. Still have Volpe Dominguez and Peraza and Wells among others. Excited to get Montas. He was the best available pitcher once Castillo came off the board.

Trevino has been not great but maybe they can fix him.
