    Re: 9/11 - 10/1 Game Discussion Thread

Going into last series of the year with Nationals I don’t know if Braves are planning to rest Acuna, but I’d love to see him play:

    1. He has a real shot at 150 runs scored (146) which would be a cool number to get to.

    2. He has a chance, albeit very slim, for 400 total bases (378). I’d love to see him go wild in a final series with 3-4 homers and some doubles mixed in to get there.

As it is, he has 10 categories he leads the league in offensively…pretty amazing.

Depending on how things go this weekend, the final wildcard spot in the NL may come down to the Marlins and Mets resuming a suspended game in the top of the 9th on Monday.

Angel is a pos. I have no idea why he's still am umpire. He's a joke and a whiney bitch to boot.

Cried racism and took it to court, because they wouldn't let him work a world series since 05 and then lost the appeal. I hate that guy.

I get that now tie-breakers are decided during the 162 games season, but they are few spectacle as exciting as a 163rd tie-breaker.

            Or 164.

Jays,Astros,Rangers,Mariners could all finish with 89 wins (unlikely but possible).

Let's have a battle for the ALW. Whoever has the worst record in games between the 3 is only in contention for the WC. Whoever wins between the other 2 is the ALW winner.

THEN Jays face that 3rd ALW team. Winner is 2nd WC. Loser plays loser of the ALW matchup to determine the final WC.

Let's just turn it into a reality show. Each season all 30 teams vote on who they want to vote off of baseball. Once the votes are read the decision is final, person voted out will be asked to leave the ballparks immediately.

To make it fair, they also vote for a winner in a different vote. Whoever gets the most votes wins the grand prize.

I want to see that just for the pure randomness of it.

The game could theoretically be COMPLETED in just 3 pitches with a first pitch out to end the top of the 9th followed by a HBP or hit on the first pitch and then a HR (or less than 3 if you want to get real technical with pick offs, violations and so on).

If makeup happens, are fans even allowed back? All that work for what could be a 5 minute game? Or do fans get refunded since their game wasn't completed and won't be attending the makeup?

And if it's not necessary, I believe the game will go down as a 1-0 Mets win (8 innings).

If not even an 8-0 lead during a weekend in which you need to win to make the playoffs is safe, then what is?

Rodon…what a terrible signing he’s been for the Yanks.

The amount of Pirate games this year lost due to stupid moves like bringing Selby in, they'd be in WC contention.

                          Jays don't blow it!

Now, let's see the Mariners lose tonight and take all pressure off the weekend.

Miserable September for the Cubs, and it has now most likely cost them the playoffs.

Fortunately Alonso wears a C flap on his helmet, he just got hit in the ear and it broke the C flap off.
