Rangers win, Jays are in!

Rangers first playoffs since 2016...we know what happened then.


Now we'll see what happens tomorrow. I'm not sure if I want Jays playing Rays or Twins.

It's the Year of Our Lord 2023, and there are still managers who ask their #5 hitter (with 2 sac bunts in his career) to lay one down with a runner on 1st and nobody out. Good ****ing grief.

MLB decided the Marlins WON'T have to play game 162.

Marlins win any tiebreaker, that's it.

Either Marlins win tonight and are 5 seed, or they lose and DBacks win and DBacks are 5 seed.

Last day of the season, figured I'd look at how some changes have gone this year.

Game time: 9 inning games finished in under 2 hours and 40 minute average. First time since 2015 it's even been under 3 hours, and first time since 1986 it's even been under 2:45!

Offense: After a big drop in offense last year, this year is the 3rd highest runs per game season (in a normal year) since 2009.

Rosters: More emphasis on pitching when it comes to building rosters. 3rd most pitchers ever used (last 2 seasons were the top 2), but batter wise teams used less batters this year than any season since 2009.

Stolen Bases: The most since SB since 1997

As of a few nights ago there have only been nine games over 3.5 hours this season compared to over 200 last year.

Rays vs Rangers/Astros (so far its the Rangers, though Rangers are only down by 1 so far)

Brewers vs DBacks

Phillies vs Marlins
