Re: Bonds Out Til The Break...

Seeing how this thread unfolds is going to be very interesting.

In the first article Barry did everything he could possibly do to make people feel bad for him. Well Barry, what comes around goes around. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

What I want to know is what happened to the guy who said "I don't care what people think about me" etc... This doesn't sound like a guy who didn't care:

"You wanted me to jump off the bridge, I finally have jumped. You wanted the bring me down, you've finally brought me and my family down. Finally done it. From everybody, all of you. So now go pick a different person. I'm done. Do the best I can, that's about it."

Re: Gee what a surprise - Bonds out for 1/2 to whole year!

It isn't easy to comeback from knee surgery without steriods. I've had 3 and each one took longer to heal from and I'm still young.

I hope he never plays again and some proof is found of his cheating.

joeboo he sounds like a guy who's throwing the towel. I have a feeling he'll retire when he's so close to the record just to spite us all. (actually I think a lot of people would be happy) Bonds has been nothing but an asshat his whole career and now he comes out looking for sympathy? It doesn't work that way bub!

Why is it cheating if mlb wasn't banning it. I mean mlb baseball took drug tests last yearand found something like 30 percent of the players were postive for steriods and yet that was okay till this year. So its illegal this year and therefore a "cheat". But if it was okay before that then why should they be considered cheaters? Blame MLB for there awful steriods policy and not making it banned a long time ago. Not the players for doing something that wasn't causing them to be fined, suspened etc.

I hate to wish ill-will and harm on anyone, but Bonds deserves it. This is a guy that, during a paid autograph signing with A-ROD, pocketed the money while A-ROD donated the money. Even A-ROD was disgusted to hear about that. This is a guy that always pulls the race card when attempting to explain the media's and public's disdain for him. This is a guy, that I whole-heartedly believe cheated and used steroids - with the sole purpose of shattering a record that he's had his eyes on for years - especially to pass Babe Ruth. I don't believe that steroids made him better at hitting the ball, but there is no doubt that it made him stronger and 'healthier' - allowing him to pro-long his career and recover from injuries a little quicker than usual.

I say put him under house arrest with Martha Stewart and Michael Jackson for a year and make a reality show of it. That'll show em!

Just because steroids hadn't been banned by MLB until recently, doesn't mean that using it was ok. The only reason why it hadn't been banned until recently was because the MLBPA is one of the strongest unions in the country. Cheating is cheating, no matter how you spell it, slice it, or dice it. Steroids promotes an unlevel playing field and makes you stronger, faster, and heal quicker than a counterpart that is not taking steroids.

Cheater. No more roids = no more homers = no more bonds. I hope he never plays again.
