Re: Bonds Out Til The Break...

Wow I see that there is an overwelming sentiment that Bonds is indeed on steroids and just as obvious is everyones hatred for the man. Watching people throw him down because he basically got tired of the media putting him under a microscope is rediculous, unless someone is in his shoes I dont think anyone can judge. Someone else was making fun of his kids crying and trying to say its because hes injured, thats so far from the truth its laughable, his kids , more then likely, are upset because they are being subjected on a daily basis to hearing how their dad is the scum of the earth and a cheat, its normal for a kid to be upset hearing that same old tired rhetoric everyday. I think the biggest problem here is that he has never been fond of the media and everyone sitting in their house sees that and automatically forms an opinion on him and thats that in their minds, unfortunatly nobody but Bonds knows what its like to have every little thing scrutinized by the media, and when someone is breathing down your neck everyday, would you want to deal with them? I almost find it laughable that people are all over Bonds because of his admission that he unknowingly took the clear and the cream, get over it, there is an actual chance that he did this. Unfortunatly it seems in this day and age people are willing to accept someone who admits they did the crime, Jason Giambi, over someone who denies it but in the public forum is considered guilty until innocent. That in itself amazes me that we give a criminal his due process but yet someone says steroids and anyone's name in baseball and everyone starts talking about how they are a cheater and should be kicked out of baseball. Im sure all the comments I made will be met with a smattering of sarcastic remarks and flame wars from some, but this is just my opinion on the subject. I might also add that I am not a Bonds fan, but dont really like seeing people beat a man when he is down already.

Giambi is coming out better because he sucks.

I am glad baseball is starting to clean up.

I'm not even going to comment on this thread, it is worthless to discuss something with people who take joy in seeing a grown man tired of scrutiny. Sure he brought a lot of it on himself, but piling on after the fact really accomplishes nothing but just showing how spiteful some people are.
He deserves all of it and more.

You know, you are partly right but look at the big picture here. He is sick of his kids crying? What are his kids gonna do when they find about about Daddy's mystress that he was banging instead of mommy. What a man. Please. How some of you can fall for this garbage is mindboggling. The reason everyone is pissed is because he denied the story the whole time and then when pressed to the grand jury he admitted it. He then comes to spring training and throws a hissy fit and never acknowledges what happened. He is a spolied ***** who deserves everything he gets. Its a shame too, he is one of the best ever but he is tanited for life because of his greed to have all the records. Geez Barry you're career was great enough.

I cant til the Balco trial comes around. He flat out lied under oath the first time. The scene I heard from Lester Munson who is a retired lawyer and SI writer is that after Bonds and his lawyers came out of the courtroom, they reemed him out because he LIED. Chris Webber anyone? Only death to the booster saved Webber. Bonds is going away eventually. They told him to tell the truth and he didnt. Apperaently only then did he go back and concoct the pathatic flax seed oil story. His kid could have made something better up. You Bonds defenders are really gonna look stupid when the Balco trial comes out.
