Its a shame too, he is one of the best ever but he is tanited for life because of his greed to have all the records. Geez Barry you're career was great enough.

I cant til the Balco trial comes around. He flat out lied under oath the first time. The scene I heard from Lester Munson who is a retired lawyer and SI writer is that after Bonds and his lawyers came out of the courtroom, they reemed him out because he LIED. Chris Webber anyone? Only death to the booster saved Webber. Bonds is going away eventually. They told him to tell the truth and he didnt. Apperaently only then did he go back and concoct the pathatic flax seed oil story. His kid could have made something better up. You Bonds defenders are really gonna look stupid when the Balco trial comes out.
I certainly hope you werent using me as your example for being a Bonds defender and how Im going to look stupid. Like I have said numerous times I am not a Bonds lover, Im tired of seeing people kick a man when he is down and to do it based on hearsay or rumors. If and when the Balco testimony comes down and it is shown that Bonds has indeed been on steroids then I will be right there with everyone else declaring him a cheat and not wanting any records to be represented by the man, but until that happens I tend to give a man the benefit of the doubt. This is obviously something we will have to agree to disagree, but might I make one last point, you say how the Bonds defenders will look stupid once its proven that he took them, but cant the same be said if its shown that he has been telling the truth all along? Just something to ponder while everyone jumps to conclusions.

Well, I don't personally know Barry (what a shock). But based on what I've seen from him the past 10+ years, it is hard to have sympathy for the man. I never wished injury upon him, nor am I jumping for joy that he is injured. I'm just saying that based on what I've seen, he is not the most sympathetic character.

It seems to me he doesn't want sympathy, he wants to be left alone, there is a difference. Now if you feel like he shouldn't be left alone, well that's your prerogative.

I quoted you since you were the last post. Sorry about that. Nothing to ponder here. He ADMITTED to the grand jury he took them. Why can't people grasp that. He said he didnt to the media and fans and said he did to a grand jury after he lied to them. I am sure he thought it was a joke until his lawyers told him to get ready for big bubba. Admittence is guilt where I come from.

Only problem is, now correct me if Im wrong, but I heard he only admitted to using the clear and the cream unknowingly, and until someone proves he did it with full knowledge or lied under oath then I guess I will be the dumb one giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Gee what a surprise - Bonds out for 1/2 to whole year!

I haven't bought this whole "knee" thing from the beginning.

Funny, we heard almost nothing about his knee problems until the Congressional hearing was getting closer. Now, his ex-whore is writing books about Bonds' steroid use, Canseco's book is out, Congress is threatening to crack down, baseball is considering blood testing, and.......

......now his knee is a year-long injury or more. LOL.

Sorry, Barry, I ain't buying it. Sure, your knee might need some work, but I'd bet your blood needs a little "purifying" as well.

I just hope he never catches Aaron. No assmunch like this deserves that hallowed record.

I am not saying its not a big deal. What I am saying is that cheating is something baseball says you can't do. Baseball has a secret list of all the people who fail steriod test the past year or so. Only now are they starting to say (in firing, fining, jail time maybe ) that you can't do it.

If I'm playing a game against someone, and they know that I'm doing something to get an advantage and they don't tell me to stop, say its unfair, stop playing with me etc, then its not cheating.

That was in all the new york papers. It was suppose to be a charity event, but bonds pocketed all the money.
