Then what are they there for? I thought pleasing an audience was the whole point of entertainment. He does owe it to fans to get back out there as long as he is collecting a paycheck. He gets paid $18 million a year to get back out there and play.

I understand some of your points. There is a lot of hatred for Bonds that gets taken too far. My argument is, I don't hate Bonds, I hate those who cheat in a sport that I love. This includes Bonds, Giambi, McGwire or anyone else that is caught using steroids.

:clap: an worse yet those who cheat and don't admit they cheat. I hold the same disdain for Pete Rose (great basevall player) who would not for the life of him admit he had cheated the game. The problem with players like Bonds is he thinks he is bigger than the game.

Normally I dont like to get involved in any debate on here because it tends to lead to name calling and one person claiming to know everything, and you sir are that person. Comparing what Gooden and Strawberry did to the entire debate on Bonds is the bigger joke, Gooden and Strawberry bought the cocaine on their own accord and made the active decision to use it, if what Bonds says is true then he was using something to help with his body, thinking it was one thing when in fact it was something totally different. I will repeat my stance on Bonds, I am NOT a Bonds lover, I personally cant stand the guy, but at the same time I do believe in due process, and furthermore I believe in not kicking a man when he is down, which is what the media keeps doing on a daily basis. Yet again, if it is proven that he knowingly took steroids then I am all for stripping him of his accomplishments, but until that time comes I refuse to speculate and then condemn a man based on those speculations. In regards to your comment about my rose colored opinion, Im not even totally sure what you meant by that, but I will say, yet again, guilty or not guilty, just wait for the evidence to come forth, there is absolutly no need to bash the man before its been proven. Telling me to get a grip is where you really started to step over that fine line, I never said the clear and the cream were not steroids, I understand fully what they are, we are not debating this, I am simply waiting to hear all the testimony in regards to whether or not he used these and other substances knowingly, thats all. I hope I made my stance more clear then I obviously didnt before.

I understand perfectly your point. And your due process stance is respectable but absurd. I think he knew exactly what he was putting in his body. His claiming he didnt is his way of protecting himslef legally - steroids are an illegal substance and he can be charged for knowingly using them. You believe he did not know what he was doing which i'll stand by as you being naive, devils advocate or simply in denial as I said before.

As for the Coke reference and Strawberry and Gooden thats a pretty good way of me comparing how ridiculous your belief that Bonds did not know what he was taking. Strawberry and Gooden most certainly knew they were doing coke and Barry knew he was doing steroids.

Knowingly by my view or unknowingly by yours the man USED steroids. So he is a cheater and he broke the law as a bonus. Cheaters should have no place in baseball. Ask shoeless Joe Jackson.

to be honest they all make me sick as a baseball fan since i was 5 years old. Bonds, McGwire, Canseco, Caminiti (dead or not), Giambi. I'm more dissappointed in the McGwires and Bonds because theyre the ones i followed growing up who got better as I got older. Its their autographs and baseball cards and bobbleheads that i spent my time and my hard earned money collecting only to know theyre cheaters. Theyre not even the kind of cheater Pete Rose is. They are on field cheaters. They've shattered records of guys like Mantle and Maris and could/would Hank Aaron who played the game of baseball the way it was supposed to be played. They even cheated other players of their generation - the ones who weren't injecting their bodies full of illegal performance enhancing substances. Stealing MVP trophies and running up statistics that make a mockery of past accomplishments.

You can say what you want, and I believe I have even seen you question Bonds entire operation saying he was doing this to dodge steroid testing because he is still juiced up. That is plain stupid, its not like when the Giants get tested they are going to say, " Ohh Bonds isnt here, looks like we cant test him", they will still test him whether or not he is on the injured list. Last point, you constantly talk like you take great joy in seeing him and or his family in the position they are in, as well as talk like they owe the fans to get back out there and play. Well, where do I begin, first off, I surely hope you are never in a position where you experience hardship, whatever it may be, because the last thing you should do is look for any help nor sympathy from anyone since you take such great joy in others misfortune. As to your comment that he owes the fans to get out there, he doesnt owe the fans anything, period. Contrary to popular opinion, entertainers are not there to please the audience at home, some may choose to do such because they think it will be beneficial to their carrer, but in no way do they owe it to us. If you are that disgusted with the salaries these people get then stop going to games and stop buying the merchandise.
