Re: Gee what a surprise - Bonds out for 1/2 to whole year!

so where is the outcry against McGwire, Sosa, etc. This doesn't make sense really. I've always wondered why they don't put Sosa on TV everyday with reporters following his every move. Maybe it's because he smiles when he lies?

Tell that to Lyle Alzado. The cancer that killed him was attributed to the years of steroid use.

Re: Bonds Out Til The Break...

What was hysterical was the beginning of that interview when Bonds was like, "Make sure my son is in the camera shot"

Yeah great family guy Barry. Try to garner sympathy and use your son as an object to hide behind. "Look everyone I'm a family guy, see here is my son. He is sad, and it's the media's fault."...priceless and typical.

Hey guess what champ. Don't want your family to go through this? BE A GOOD MAN. Don't cheat, don't **** on people, don't cheat on your wife. Maybe your family would be a little bit happier then.

But at least they/you have a 100 million dollars to soften the blow!

You made your deal with the devil...now it's time to pay up. What tangled webs we weave, when first we practce to deceive.

As a lifelong Cubs fan and former Sosa defender, I agree! I used to argue with people who thought he was cheating. But after that B.S. at the hearings I wonder. He doesn't need an interpreter. Having an attorney read his statement to him means he's not 'technically' lieing. That was all an act by him.

There had been rumblings about him in Chicago here for years. I think if they did a full court press on him they'd find some real interesting things.

Funny, we heard almost nothing about his knee problems until the Congressional hearing was getting closer. Now, his ex-whore is writing books about Bonds' steroid use, Canseco's book is out, Congress is threatening to crack down, baseball is considering blood testing, and.......

......now his knee is a year-long injury or more. LOL.

Sorry, Barry, I ain't buying it. Sure, your knee might need some work, but I'd bet your blood needs a little "purifying" as well.

I just hope he never catches Aaron. No assmunch like this deserves that hallowed record.
I heard about his first knee surgery in January and I heard he fell on his knee a little afterwards and that was well before any congress hearing..

LMAO, Sosa does have a million dollar smile. Kisses babies and takes pics with tons of fans.

I've been wondering the same thing, I mean, Sosa juiced and he also used a corked bat, I would think the story would be to good to pass up for the media. I guess they dont like deciphering his spotty english.

I think that the steriod hearings and Bond's "throwing in the towel" are the first steps to restoring the integrity of the game. I am sure that there are many others out there. And I wouldn't be surprised if most of them are in the minors trying to "juice" them to the majors. But with Giambi confessing, Canseco's get richer quick scheme, steriod hearings, and Bonds wimpin' out; Baseball is trying to get better.
