If the Tigers had a good starting pitcher, they have two pretty good closers to work with.... Maybe Bonderman, but he isn't elite yet....

RJ has been an elite staring pitcher for quite some time now (possibly even the best in baseball over the past 5 years) and Rivera fits the same profile within the closer's ranks.
It's hard to any combination other than those two until at least one of them has an off year.
If I had to pick who I'd want two start/close one game for my team....I'd go with them.Comment

I am a huge Smoltz fan, but lets face it, he hasn't started a game since 2001 when he started 5 games, and he hasn't gone 200 innings since 1997.
If we're just gonna make homer picks, I'll just take Peavy and Hoffman.Comment
