If pointing out the Red Sox past failures really makes you feel better about your team's failure to win a couple post season series, then by all means, go ahead, even though it is a little childish (and I'd like to point out that I don't really even agree with BigTim's point).

It's also nice to know that someone's entire argument can be thrown out the window because of the team they root for, it really makes for great debates.

By the way, the Red Sox have won 5 World Championships in the past century, and six altogether.

I've got no problem with the Red Sox. I was rooting for them big time in the ALCS and WS. I do have a problem with homers that try to make idiotic points about another team's postseason success, when their team just won their first series in 86 years. I'd ask him/you to look at the following:

It shows that neither the Red Sox nor the Braves are as bad in the postseason as a few other teams, or as bad as some people seem to think.

Besides, I'll take one world series win and 13 straight division titles and playoff appearances any day. It's certainly better than not having the chance. Like the old saying goes, "it's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all." Same thing applies.
