Papi will work himself out of his slump, jumbling him around the lineup is stupid.
This loss really sucks. Not to blow it out of proportion because I know it's early on. If I remember correctly from the games we've already played against them, had the sox won tonight, the season series would be at 5-2. Barring a complete collapse we could have another 5 during the course of a season. Which would have given us the season series.

I think he's probably declining some, but not as drastic as his .228 average suggests. He was battling a muscle pull after the WBC for the first month or so that has contributed to his slow start. I think he'll pick it up over the summer months, then decline a little at the end of the year, which most catchers do.Originally posted by glucklichComment

Add another one to the total 16/16 Papelbon was asked to 4 outs and delivers, he came in and started off where Timlin left off, avoiding runs in the 8th with runners on corners, very impressed by Papelbon, even after Toby Hall fouled off like 10 balls.18-1 hell of a season regardlessComment

I was there last night near the bullpen. Talk about an electric atmoshphere when Papelbon enters with his song. Indescribable.
